4 Arrested After Race That Reached 114MPH On Gandy Bridge
4 Tampa men aged 19 to 21 were arrested after Florida Highway Patrol troopers say they were clocked at speeds reaching 114 miles per hour as they were drag racing on the Gandy Bridge. This happened early Sunday morning. Arrested were Kevin Galindo Lopez, Darwin Cruz Mendez, Fredy Ruiz Ruiz and Lester Mendez Pineda.
Troopers say the drivers all slowed down to begin the race and then took off down the bridge. All were taken to Pinellas County Jail. [Source: Channel 8]
