Clearwater Marine Aquarium Announces Memorial Date for Winter the Dolphin
Clearwater Marine Aquarium sadly announced the death of Winter, the iconic dolphin from ‘Dolphin Tale,’ on Thursday. Now, memorial plans are on the way.
To honor the dolphin that has captured the hearts of people worldwide, CMA President Dr. James “Buddy” Powell announced on Friday that a memorial service will be held on November 20.
Winter first gained fame after the 2011 film “Dolphin Tale.” Since then, thousands of people have made their way to Clearwater Marine Aquarium year-round to see her in person.
After developing a gastrointestinal infection at the beginning of November, Winter died on November 11 at 16 years old.
More details about the memorial service are still to come.
