A St. Pete woman blamed her poor driving behavior on eating an egg roll after being pulled over for DUI early Sunday morning.

Apparently, a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputy pulled over 45-year-old Maria Jurgilewicz around 2 a.m. on Sunday. Reports say Jurgilewicz had a distinct smell of alcohol coming from her breath, couldn’t follow directions, and slurred her words when she talked. According to police, when she was questioned about her driving patterns, she said it was because she was eating an egg roll.

The Smoking Gun says that the police report contains no indication of egg roll pieces in her vehicle. However, police say they found a stash of different pills and a straw with white residue in her car.

Jurgilewicz was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of tramadol hydrochloride, and possession of drugs without prescription. She was released later that day “on her own recognizance,” according to PCSO.
