Lutz Man Wins $2 Million After Nearly Running Out Of Gas
A Hillsborough County man was low on gas and made the last-minute decision to buy a scratch-off ticket. He was very lucky that day.
Feras Al Younes, 48, of Lutz, purchased a $10 Gold Rush Supreme scratch-off ticket and won $2 million. When asked how this happened, he told the Florida Lottery:
“I pulled into the Circle K at the last minute to fill up and decided to buy a Scratch-Off ticket while I waited. I was standing at the pumps when I suddenly realized I was holding a $2 million winning ticket! I was so excited that I left before my tank was full!”
The ticket was purchased at the Circle K located at 17402 Dona Michelle Blvd. in Tampa. Al Younes took the lump-sum payment of $1,760,000. He claimed his winnings at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. The store will receive a $4,000 commission for selling the winning ticket.
The $10 Gold Rush Supreme scratch-off game began in January, 2021. There are still 2 of 10 top prizes remaining. The game offers prizes ranging from $10 to $2 million.
