Mason Dixon

Weekdays 3:00pm - 7:00pm

Tuesday, November 30, marks the first of four games that won’t be televised. Here’s where you can find the games.

For some cable service provider viewers, the Tampa Bay Lightning games are regularly missed. The network Bally Sports isn’t available on all of Tampa area cable services. It is available on Spectrum. There are also games carried on ESPN, ABC, NHL Network and Turner Sports. Tonight, however, will be different.

Tonight’s match-up between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the St. Louis Blues won’t be on any of those. Tonight’s game will only be available to subscribers of Hulu and ESPN+.

Some viewers are not happy. Comments posted on Twitter, Facebook and Reddit showed the displeasure of many fans. This was part of the contract the NHL made with the various carriers, so don’t blame the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Even sports bars and restaurants are scrambling to figure out if they will be able to show the game. We reached out to some local sports bars and restaurants. Hooters, Wing House and Glory Days were not able to say they’d be carrying the game. Hattricks Tavern in downtown Tampa was able to confirm they will. Call your favorite watering hole to see if they are carrying the broadcast before you go.

Here are the four games that are scheduled to be streaming-only.

  • Tuesday, November 30 at St. Louis Blues
  • Tuesday, December 28 vs. Montreal Canadiens
  • Tuesday, March 29 vs. Carolina Hurricanes
  • Thursday, April 28 at New York Islanders
