Las Vegas is no stranger to being known as the "Sin City." But now, neither are two Tampa Bay area cities.

WalletHub ranked the top 180 cities in the United States based on 37 "evil deeds." Their findings are based on factors of anger & hate, jealousy, excesses & vices, avarice, lust, vanity, and laziness.

Based on these elements, Las Vegas scored the number one spot as being the "most sinful city." Tampa placed at number 39. St. Petersburg came in at number 120.

Tampa and St. Petersburg scored even higher based on individual factors. WalletHub reports that Tampa came in at number 10 on the lust scale, and a 19 on the vanity scale. This might have something to do with Tampa having an abundance of strip clubs.

St. Petersburg ranked at number 56 on the laziness meter. But if it's because of the beaches being in close proximity, we'll take it.

Here is WalletHub's top 10 list of 2021's Most Sinful Cities in America.

  1. Las Vegas, Nevada
  2. St. Louis, Missouri
  3. Houston, Texas
  4. Los Angeles, California
  5. Denver, Colorado
  6. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  7. Atlanta, Georgia
  8. Miami, Florida
  9. Chicago, Illinois
  10. Memphis, Tennessee
