There will be a number of charges against the 19-year-old student.

The plan was, reportedly, to shoot up the campus of Embry-Riddle University. Daytona Beach Police say authorities were told by other students. Officers were contacted around 4 a.m. of the plan.

Students reported to authorities that there were social media posts about the plans. The 19-year-old was planning on bringing a folding gun to campus with a large number of rounds of ammunition. According to law enforcement, he sold his car to purchase the weapon and ammunition.

As for a motive, risk of failing classes and having been fined for a traffic infraction are what police are citing.

Police found the gun and ammunition. There are expected to be 'numerous charges' according to investigators.

There were no injuries, thanks to the tips from students.
