Putnam County Sheriff: Florida Woman with Machete Throws Feces at Deputy

A woman was arrested on Monday after trying to fight police outside a Winn Dixie in Putnam County, according to police.

Putnam County Sheriff's Office received a call about a woman acting erratic on her cell phone inside a Winn Dixie, according to reports. When police arrived, they say they found her with a machete in a sheath strapped to her backpack. Apparently, the store manager asked deputies to remove her from the property.

After running the information of 41-year-old Neomi Brown of Crescent City, police discovered she had an outstanding arrest warrants in Volusia County, according to their Facebook post. Deputies say when they questioned her about the warrant, she became violent and even kicked an officer in the face.

After finally be detained and put in the back of the police car, deputies say she then proceeded to defecate and tried to throw feces at the deputy who was driving. PSCO says she also spit over the partition onto the deputy.

After being booked in the Putnam County Jail, reports say a 12-gram bag was left behind in the back seat of the police cruiser.

PCSO says Brown is being charged with two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, and possession of methamphetamine.
