An Atlanta developer is converting the former KMart location in Kenneth City. Two large tenants are set to move in.

The developer purchased the KMart and its parking lot. The property, consisting of nearly 11 acres, will be converted into a new retail location. The two major anchors will be Sprouts Farmer's Market and At Home.

This will be Sprout's fourth Pinellas County location, already having stores in Clearwater, Seminole and Palm Harbor. Sprouts specializes in organic, natural, and gluten-free foods. Fresh meat and produce are also available.

At Home, which specializes in home decor, will join Sprouts in the new location. This will be At Home's fourth location in the Tampa Bay area.

The project is expected to begin in the next two months, and opening could happen before the end of 2022.
