Florida Man Chases 2 People with Knife While on Electric Scooter, Police Say
A Rockledge, Florida man is facing charges after allegedly chasing two people with a knife while riding on his electric scooter.
Apparently, 74-year-old Daniel Zarelli had a verbal disagreement with one of the woman. Police says that’s when Zarelli grabbed a kitchen knife from inside the home, and began following her. Reports say Zarelli told the woman he wanted to kill her, and that’s why she ran.
News 6 reports that Zarelli then began chasing a man who was standing outside of his home, and slashed the tires of his rental car. He then proceeded to chase the man down the street.
When police showed up, they say they saw Zarelli still chasing the woman. Officers say they smelled alcohol on Zarelli’s breath, and said that he should have stabbed the man “while he had the chance.”
Zarelli was booked in the Brevard County Jail at a $26,000 bond.
