Three Dogs To Represent Tampa Bay In 2022 Puppy Bowl

Rescue pups from the Tampa Bay area will be playing on Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl XVIII.

The annual event goes up against the ‘big game.’ It features rescue puppies, plus a few other furry and not so furry friends. There are three rescue puppies this year that come from a St. Petersburg rescue.

Compassion Kind of St. Petersburg hosts these local puppies who are headed to the Puppy Bowl. They are Billie, Maisie and Jenna.

  Billie, a boxer pup, was a stray in Puerto Rico. She and the rest of her litter were strays. Her family says she loves Starbucks runs and playing with her four-legged family. Billie will play for Team Ruff.

• Jenna

  Jenna, a terrier/hound mix, came from Puerto Rico where she was a stray. She and her sister, Jackie were each adopted. Jenna lives in St. Petersburg where she has two furry siblings. She'll be a cheerleader for Puppy Bowl XVIII.

• Maisie

  Share

  Maisie is a terrier mix who came to Compassion Kind from Louisiana. Her family couldn't keep her because of Hurricane Ida, so she's looking for a new family. Maisie will play for Team Ruff
