Land O’ Lakes Teen Clocked Doing 123MPH on the Courtney Campbell

An 18 year old driver told Clearwater Police that he doesn't look at the speedometer when he drives, according to Channel 8. That might explain why he didn't realize it when police say he was doing over 120 miles per hour while driving on the Courtney Campbell Causeway at 4am Saturday morning.

According to the report, 18 year old Jazion Treyvon Alonso from Land O' Lakes was doing 123MPH in a 60MPH zone. Other drivers apparently weren't going fast enough for him so police say he was changing lanes in a "reckless manner," almost causing accidents.

Alonso was arrested for highway racing and taken to Pinellas County Jail. Records show he was bonded out for $150 three hours later. Fortunately there's no word of anyone hurt during his drive. [Sources: PCSOweb.com, Channel 8]
