It's not just home buyers paying the price of a hot housing market. Florida renters are seeing monthly rates jump by the hundreds. Zumper did a national study and January 2022 rents are through the roof in many cities. Not surprisingly, New York, San Francisco and Boston top the list. A typical 1 bedroom apartment in New York will cost you about $3,260 a month! San Francisco renters pay about $2850 while Bostonians aren't far behind at $2,720.
Here in Florida's seven big cities, here's how the rent breaks down for a typical 1 bedroom place from lowest to highest. Basically the further south you go, the more you pay.
