(Photo by John Parra/Getty Images)The addition of the new concert space at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino means even more big name acts are coming to Tampa. But this one is different. Unlike the Amphitheatre, this venue is inside and air conditioned. And unlike Amalie Arena, you can't have a seat in the nosebleeds because they just don't exist. Unlike the stadium, parking is free. So it's really becoming my favorite place to see a show!
Geno's Sting story...
According to Sting's website, the “My Songs” tour is "an exuberant and dynamic show featuring Sting’s most beloved songs written throughout his illustrious career, both with The Police and as a solo artist." They say you can expect to hear hits like “Fields of Gold,” “Shape of my Heart,” “Roxanne,” “Demolition Man,” “Englishman In New York,” “Every Breath You Take,” and “Message In A Bottle.”
The Seminole Hard Rock Event Center will host a performance by Sting Saturday, May 21 at 8pm. Tickets go on sale Friday (February 18). Sting Fan Club members can access tickets starting Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. through Thursday, Feb. 17 at 5 p.m. by visiting www.sting.com. Additionally, Tampa fans can access venue presale tickets beginning Wednesday, February 16, at 10 a.m. through Seminole Hard Rock Tampa’s Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook pages. They're not cheap... they start at $250. But keep in mind it's rare to see Sting in a venue this size. There are 2 other shows in Florida if you can't make this one... Sting plays Jacksonville the night before Tampa and Hollywood the night after.
From his days with The Police to now, Sting has been a vital part of the Q105 playlist for decades! He's coming to Tampa... see our concerts page for more inf
