Some beach-goers got a close scare when a flight went wrong. A helicopter had an emergency and the pilot needed to find a way to safely get to the ground. Splashing into the water was probably softer than bringing it to solid ground.
Helicopters can't glide when they lose power, but there are ways a pilot can get to the ground without just falling out of the sky.
In a video posted by the Miami Police Department, you can watch as the helicopter splashed down, not far from where swimmers were in the water.
You can watch a full detailed report on the crash from Miami's WPLG.
