Yesterday at Buffalo Niagara International Airport, a flight to Florida was delayed as authorities had to remove a pilot who they say was drunk. NBC News reports that 52 year old James Clifton from Orlando had a blood alcohol content of .17%, according to a spokesperson for the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority. Pilots can't have anything more than .04% per the FAA.

The JetBlue flight was headed for Fort Lauderdale. Scheduled for a 6:15am departure, the flight didn't get off the ground until 10:25am. Makes you wonder if he even got any sleep.

NBC News reports that Clifton said he had 7 or 8 drinks before boarding. They say before takeoff, police entered the cockpit to first remove his gun. They then asked him to take a test, which he did. They say Clifton was cooperative, but no word yet on charges. [Source: NBC]
