Donnie Van Zant and Don Barnes of 38 Special at the 34th Annual Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards Concert and Show at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center on October 14, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia.

If you don’t have plans for Saturday, now ya do!

Talk about last minute. We got word yesterday that 38 Special will play the Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival Saturday. You know their big Q105 hits like “Hold On Loosely,” “Caught Up In You,” and “Second Chance.” The show starts at 7. As with all concerts at Busch Gardens, no special ticket is required. Your park admission covers it. However, if you’d like to get up close, you can buy VIP seating for $44.99. That also gets you one of those 5 item sampler lanyards to try some of the Food & Wine Festival menu options. For the show, you get a reserved seat down front and a “private bar experience.”

If you’re a country music fan, they also added a performance by Chris Lane on Sunday. And be sure to check out Iron Gwazi if you go. It just opened last week. Iron Gwazi is the world’s fastest and steepest hybrid rollercoaster, Iron Gwazi is also the tallest hybrid rollercoaster in North America.

There are some other great shows in the area this weekend too. Green Day and the Goo Goo Dolls headline the first ever “Innings Festival” at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. If you’re up for a drive to Orlando, you can see Seal or Kool & The Gang.
