Huge Sports Complex May Come To Largo
A developer is trying to turn what is a former landfill into a sports lover’s paradise.
What’s being considered is a facility with basketball courts, volleyball courts. Also, indoor space for events such as cheer, gymnastics and dance could take place at the proposed complex.
Also, added to that, indoor and outdoor pickleball courts for one of the fastest growing sports. If that wasn’t enough, a 10-acre lagoon is also planned for the site.
It will require a public vote to sell the land to the developer. The land is to the east of the the Largo Public Library. The nearly 88-acre plot of land would begin to draw millions of dollars in income to the Largo area.
Porter Development LLC is hoping to transform the 87.9-acre piece of city-owned property east of the Largo Public Library into a sports tourism destination. https://t.co/7GJc4qES67
