This time of year, most of the baseball players and coaches here in Florida for Spring Training are using the speed radar to clock fastballs. Doing 82 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone is a bad idea when the cops have the radar on your vehicle.

Channel 8 reports that 52 year old Peter Walker was arrested after allegedly doing 82 in a 45 early Friday morning near County Road 611 and Curlew Road. Walker admitted to having four beers after failing a sobriety test, according to Channel 8. Walker is a pitching coach for the Toronto Blue Jays who play their spring training games in Dunedin.

The charge report from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office shows Walker was released on a $500 cash bond. The booking date was just shortly after 2am. Walker is listed as a resident of Quaker Hill, Connecticut. [Sources: Channel 8, PCSO]
