Julian Lennon performed his dad John Lennon's famed song "Imagine" for the first time in public as part of Global Citizen’s current social media fundraising campaign, Stand Up for Ukraine, according to The Washington Post. The campaign is providing funds to Ukraine during the country's brutal war with Russia.

Lennon performed the song with Nuno Bettencourt from Extreme on guitar. Watch the emotive clip below.

"The war on Ukraine is an unimaginable tragedy," Julian wrote in the description area of the track. "As a human, and as an artist, I felt compelled to respond in the most significant way I could."

Julian released his first album, Valotte, back in 1984, so he's been active in the music world for decades. He also made music with his father as a child, performing drums his dad's 1974 song "Ya Ya" from Walls and Bridges when he was just 11 years old. Julian has also performed some Beatles songs in public, including "Day Tripper" and "It Won't Be Long."
