Are you one of those who likes to bring a lawn chair for concerts at MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre? You can save quite a few bucks if you chill out on the lawn instead of being in one of those assigned seats under the roof. In fact, just a few weeks ago we mentioned a limited time offer the Amp was doing for a lawn seat season pass. The $200 pass got you in to just about every concert in 2022. That deal has since expired.

There are changes however coming to those who watch concerts from the lawn. The Tampa venue announced on social media today they will no longer let you bring your own lawn chair in. Until now, they were ok if they were not more than nine inches off the ground and 24 inches in total height. But no more. You will still be able to rent them once inside for $10.

Why the change? MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre says the goal is to reduce contact with guest belongings. They also say the decision was made for security reasons. Other forbidden items for 2022 include weapons of any kind, alcohol, illegal drugs/substances, umbrellas, glass containers, cans, coolers, laser pointers, and fireworks.
