The Bolts are going to Washington but not to play the Capitals. Our Tampa Bay Lightning will be visiting the White House to celebrate their back-to-back Stanley Cup wins!

The Tampa Bay Lightning will be at the White House this Monday and it marks the first time the Bolts have visited the Presidential residence. After they won their first Stanley Cup back in the 2003-04 season, the NHL lockout happened, so the team couldn’t visit. Then after winning the Cup in 2020, COVID-19 postponed their visit.

On Monday, the Tampa Bay Lightning will finally be able to visit the White House for the first time. However, one of the Lightning players already had the opportunity to visit after winning the Cup… Pat Maroon was on the last team to visit the White House to celebrate winning the Stanley Cup when he played for the St. Louis Blues in 2019.
