MJ/BBGIIf you don't have one already, you might consider getting one. Carbon monoxide can be dangerous, and you don't even know it's there.
In a recent sad story, three guests at a Bahamas resort died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Carbon monoxide is odorless and colorless, so having an alarm to detect the gas can be a life saver.
You can find a carbon monoxide alarm in stores, or the one MJ recommended here from Amazon.

Each year, Dr. Beach releases a list of the top 10 beaches in the U.S.A. His definitive list usually comes out right before Memorial Day Weekend.
Dr. Beach is Dr. Stephen Leatherman, a professor and Director of the Laboratory for Coastal Research at Florida International University. He studied environmental sciences and has his undergraduate degree in geosciences. Simply put, he knows beaches. Dr. Leatherman first began ranking beaches in 1989.
10. Coast Guard Beach, Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Accessible by bicycle or shuttle bus, Coast Guard Beach gives beachgoers crisp, chilly water, even in the summer. Seals have been visiting the location, which has been drawing sharks. Lifeguards' warnings are posted when sharts are around. The beach, however, also features an old Coast Guard station and beautiful views.
9. Beachwalker Park, Kiawah Island, South Carolina
A public beach to the south of Charleston, it's a popular location for canoes and kayaks. Captain Sam's Inlet offers a birdwatcher's paradise. There's also seafood in those waters!
8. Wailea Beach, Maui Hawaii
Though there is a private resort complex in front of the beach, they are required to have access for visitors. The coral sand leads to the water on one side and to the high-end, well landscaped hotels on the other.
7. Coronado Beach, San Diego, California
A wide beach with a Mediterranean climate and sparkling sand, it's a southern California favorite for its mild surf and warm summer. The nearby Hotel del Coronado has been a stopping place for celebrities of all kinds for over 100 years.
6. Lighthouse Beach, Buxton, Outer Banks of North Carolina
The top surfing spot on the nation's Atlantic Coast, Lighthouse Beach. The way the offshore sand banks are set, waves can come from both directions at Cape Point.
5. Duke Kahanamoku Beach, Oahu, Hawaii
Found at the west end of Waikiki Beach, it's a wide beach that's protected by an offshore coral reef. Photographers, get your cameras ready with Diamondhead volcano as a distant backdrop.
4. St. George Island State Park, Florida Panhandle
St. George Island State Park sits on a barrier island with "crystal-clear water." It's popular with fishermen, bird watchers and all other beach visitors.
3. Coopers Beach, Southampton, New York
On the south shore of Long Island, New York, the beach is hundreds of yards wide. With a white sand beach, Coopers Beach has large dunes covered in beach grass. All this, right in front of sprawling mansions.
2. Caladesi Island State Park, Dunedin Clearwater, Florida
In our own backyard, Caladesi Island State Park is at the northern end of Clearwater Beach. The white sand, soft at the waters edge, leads into "sparkling clear waters." Kayaking or canoeing through the mangroves or walking the boardwalks are a couple of great ways to get views of the wildlife.
1. Ocracoke Lifeguarded Beach, Outer Banks of North Carolina
Ocracoke, once the home of Blackbeard the pirate, is Dr. Beach's favorite getaway beach. In the summer it has big surf, earlier in the year it's more family friendly. It's a place for swimmers and beachcombers and close to an historical village.
