We got a really cool surprise today on the MJ Morning Show.

As we were discussing an update on the story of State Trooper Toni Schuck, who heroically prevented a drunk driver from crashing into runners on the Sunshine Skyway bridge during the Skyway 10-K, she (Trooper Schuck) called the show.

You can listen to MJ's chat with her about what the impact of the crash felt like and how she'd doing now, physically.

The female driver who crashed into her, Kristen Watts, has been deemed incompetent to stand trial.

"At this time I do find Ms.Watts incompetent to proceed to stand trial, there is a reasonable likelihood of her regaining competence," said Judge Lon Arend.

Trooper Schuck's response to this development was as follows: "I’m a little disappointed of course, because it’s going to delay the process, but I’m glad that they’re going to mandate her to the state hospital where she will get the help I truly believe she needs that it wasn’t an outpatient process where she could have been out on the road again to hurt somebody else."
