A flight landing in Miami suffered an incident which required the plane to be evacuated.
The flight from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic was landing in Miami Tuesday afternoon. The nose landing gear collapsed.
The plane hit a few objects on the ground, including a radar tower, and rolled to an area off the runway and taxiway. After hitting the tower and a building, there was a fire that began on the wing. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire with foam.
There were reportedly 140 passengers and 11 crew members. The plane was from Red Air, an airline that began in late 2021 in the Dominican Republic.
