MJ Chokes On Hairspray

MJ claims to have a nose that knows.

He appears to have a very sensitive olfactory system. For example, if I come into the studio and have put on one and a half squirts of perfume rather than one squirt of perfume, he notices. And of course, he starts to freak out. “Ugh! Roxanne, you overdid it on the perfume today!” DRAMA!

One day, I squirted just one little puff of my Moroccan oil hairspray, which actually smells really good. MJ had an ATTACK. He was freaking out. Froggy asked me if he could read the ingredients on the bottle. (I really believed he was curious about the ingredients…one of his shelving clients is a big hair care company.) I said that was fine and gave him the can. And then THIS happened:

Froggy's Metal Detecting Finds

Froggy has pastimes he enjoys when he’s not busy making us laugh on the MJ Morning Show or running the shelving business. His favorite hobbies are magnet fishing, regular fishing, and metal detecting. So basically, he enjoys anything that has to do with using a rod of some sort to lure or attract things.

We recently chatted with him about his metal detecting scores and what makes it fun. Here’s what he had to say:

My metal detecting obsession began almost 10 years ago when I moved into a new house, and there was a metal detector left in the garage. One day, I decided to try it out. I went around my yard and found all kinds of old coins and cool fishing lures, as well as old bullets.

Since then, I have purchased a better metal detector. Now my sons and I like to find spots where a lot of people congregate. One type of spot we’ve had good luck at is under bleachers at Little League parks. On one occasion, we actually found a ring.

Roxanne is a co-host on the MJ Morning Show and host of Middays on Q105 in Tampa Bay. She also hosts segments on The Current, which features local feel-good stories and health and wellness segments, and airs on five of the six Tampa-based Beasley Media Group stations. Roxanne has conducted hundreds of interviews, from athletes to Oscar winners, including Matt Damon, Christian Bale, and Chadwick Boseman. She also specializes in media training, having worked with clients in the NFL, NBA and WWE for television, in print, and online. Roxanne is a published author and will be releasing a thriller novel in 2024. Her favorite thing in the world is being with her two daughters and husband. As a content creator for Q105, Roxanne writes about family activities in the Tampa Bay area, as well as reviews for local restaurants and travel.
