Tampa International Airport is pretty popular around here. And for a good reason. You realize how good we have it at the end of a vacation when we have to fly back to Tampa. Tampa International Airport isn't too big or too small. It's efficient. Flights are usually on time. It's quick and easy to get through security compared to most other airports. And apparently it's a pretty great airport when you have to poop.

Yes, Tampa International Airport is the proud champion of the 2022 Cintas America Best Restroom Contest. Specifically it's the renovated Airside C restroom that flushed the competition. What's so special about THAT restroom? The airport says the Terminal C restrooms have a high-end design with Florida-inspired cockpit decor. Sensor-activated sinks and soap with personal paper towel dispensers are all within reach and that seemed to score points.

Cintas awarded Tampa International $2,500 in products, which the airport has donated to Hurricane Ian recovery efforts.

Here in Tampa, we're lucky. The drive to Tampa International Airport can be a pain, but once you get there, it's pretty painless. Getting through security is fairly fast. It doesn't take long to find your terminal. And best of all, delays are pretty rare. Nothing makes you appreciate Tampa International more than when you have to travel through other airports. CompareCards.com compiled data on the 10 worst airports during the holidays. Their advice to avoid holiday travel stress... choose a nonstop early morning flight if you can. And avoid these airports for a connecting flight. These 10 had the most delayed or cancelled flights over the past 10 years in December.

You'll notice many on this list are northern airports. The weather surely plays a part in this. But I'm glad I don't live in Chicago... they came in at #1 and #2!

My absolute least favorite airport anywhere. I got stuck here overnight once. I always go out of my way to book a flight that doesn't include a stop at Newark.

Houston... you have a problem.

At least you're not stuck in Newark. With JFK, if you get stuck, just take a train into the city and have some fun!

Sounds like it's a good idea to avoid Texas altogether.

Texas appears several times on this list!
