One of Tampa Bay's most underrated steak houses is expanding next month. The owners of Bascom's Chop House are expected to open its second concept restaurant off 4th street in St. Petersburg very soon! The new and highly anticipated restaurant Oaks On 4th will take over the former Quickies BBQ restaurant at 4351 4th St. N.
One of the Bascom's Chop House owners, Paul Bullard, gave a descriptive sneak peak of the menu to Creative Loafing. He told CL that the menu is seasonal, chef-driven and "refined rustic." Guests can look forward to an extensive menu of small plates, appetizers, sandwiches, and of course, high quality steaks. Oaks On 4th is set to feature some elevated dishes like chargrilled New Orleans-style oysters loaded with butter and bubbly parmesan cheese. The menu will also feature a new small plate options called the "nibble section." Although it sounds similar, it is a bit different than their appetizer section. The new concept may also be a new Tampa brunch spot to look out for.
Oaks On 4th will strive to uphold the same standard of service they've provided for years at Bascom's. However, this location will be more of a laid back and casual hang out spot compared to the steakhouse sibling. The Oaks On 4th concept may be a better "sip and sample" restaurant. Be on the lookout for their extensive cocktail and wine menu.
You may see some familiar faces at this Bascom's sister location. Former Bascom's executive chef Tony Bonanno will run the Oaks On 4th kitchen. The location hours aren't set in stone, yet. Be sure to follow Oaks On 4th on Instagram and Facebook for more information about the opening date and more!
Looking for a new job?
Oaks On 4th is currently hiring for both back of house and front of house positions. If you're interested, you can email your resume over to kc@bascoms.com.
