Traditionally, theme parks are quiet this time of year.  It's a plus for Florida residents since the weather is cooler and tourists are back to work and school.

Busch Gardens has announced their new deal for 2023.  Buy a Tampa Bay Fun Card that gets you year-round admission to the park and you'll get an Adventure Island Fun Card free.  The total cost comes to $132.99.  The offer ends January 15.  Note that parking is not included.  You'll need one family member to get a full annual pass for that perk.

Got a preschooler? Florida families can register through February 26 for a free card that gets kids 5 and under into both parks.

If you're a concert lover, this is a great deal.  Busch Gardens has already announced a handful of acts playing the park this spring.  More will be revealed soon. So even if you never ride a ride, you'll get about a dozen concerts for $10 each.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay today announced Black Friday deals on their annual passes. You can get $30 off a bronze, $35 off a silver and $40 off a gold annual pass until November 25. To entice you to get that credit card out, they revealed some of the acts that will perform live during the 2023 Food and Wine Festival. Concerts are included for annual pass members and individual day ticket holders, but you can buy upgrades for better seating. Expect more announcements over the next few months.

JANUARY 2023 UPDATE: NEW artists have been added since this original lineup was announced back in November. See the new lineup here!

Rollercoaster enthusiasts from around the world are counting down to March 11, 2022. That's when the long-awaited Iron Gwazi finally opens after years of delays thanks to our friend COVID. Iron Gwazi is the world's fastest and steepest hybrid rollercoaster. It reaches a top speed of 76 miles per hour and features a 91 degree beyond vertical drop from 206 feet above Tampa. Iron Gwazi features 3 inversions and a dozen airtime moments on its 4,000 foot course. I offered my services as a crash test dummy and Busch Gardens took me up on it.

The crew at Busch Gardens heard I was having second thoughts after watching a POV video of the ride so they promised cupcakes. They get me.

Good idea to follow these rules. I knew this ride would be fast, but wow.

Busch Gardens annual pass holders get to ride before it opens to the public March 11! Not gonna lie - this ride is INTENSE. It's smooth though - not rickety like the old all-wooden coaster.

While Iron Gwazi is intense and fun, a big focus for Busch Gardens when they open a new ride is raising money for animal conservation.
