2 Florida Players Were Just 1 Number Away From $1 Billion Mega Millions Jackpot
Imagine waking up this morning and finding out you ALMOST won the $1 billion? You’d be somewhat comforted by the fact that you’re a millionaire (well, if you don’t count those pesky taxes). Not one but TWO Mega Millions players here in Florida last night were indeed just one number away from hitting the $1.1 billion jackpot.
Where were the tickets sold? They haven’t told us yet. But two players had all 5 numbers but missed the Mega Ball. One of the two at least boosted their winnings to $3 million because of the Megaplier. But again, Uncle Sam will take a nice chunk of that away too.
The numbers drawn were all on the low side… 7, 13, 14, 15, 18 and the Mega Ball was 9. Florida, Ohio, and Massachusetts had the most big money winners yesterday. However, no one got all 6 numbers so now the jackpot could be around $1.35 billion by the time the next drawing which is Friday night.

Feeling generous? Spread the love of Tampa Bay Lightning hockey. You could get everyone in Clearwater hooked up with primo promenade level seats for a full season. That’d come out to about $739,246,464. You’d still have over $260 million left over. Plus Amalie Arena doesn’t fit 116,000 people. And Lightning season tickets are on a wait list … even for rich folks like you. So this probably won’t work out.
