Howard Frankland Bridge Northbound Lanes To Close Tonight at 11
If you’re driving from Pinellas to Hillsborough late tonight, you’ll want to use the Gandy Bridge from St. Pete or Courtney Campbell Causeway if you’re in Clearwater. All northbound lanes will be closed tonight at 11 so construction workers can get some signs put up overnight. Lanes will reopen just before the morning commute tomorrow at 5AM. Northbound on-ramps from Pinellas County will be closed from Gandy Boulevard to West Kennedy Boulevard.
From the Florida Department of Transportation: “Drivers using the Gandy Bridge will be detoured to continue along U.S. Highway 92/Gandy Blvd., then turn north onto Dale Mabry Highway before heading west on Kennedy Blvd. From Kennedy Blvd., follow signs for State Road 60 to Memorial Highway until the exit for the George J. Bean Parkway to the Airport.”
If for some reason the weather doesn’t cooperate, the back up plan is to do the work late tomorrow night (March 8).
