Every year, Florida is one of the top tourist destinations in the United States. People travel here from all over the country and all over the world for our beautiful weather, our amazing beaches and our great theme parks.

Peter Sullivan of Millsboro, Delaware, is no different. While enjoying a recent trip to the Sunshine State, the 66-year-old man walked into a Publix Supermarket in Delray Beach, Florida. He bought a Gold Rush Limited scratch off lottery ticket and became the “Luckiest Tourist.”

The out-of-towner scratched his way to the best vacation of his life. He hit a $5 million top prize off of the ticket.

According to the Florida Lottery the ticket was sold at the Publix Supermarket located at 1538 Federal Highway in Delray Beach.

Mr. Sullivan took the one lump-sum payout option of $3,960,000. For selling Mr. Sullivan the ticket, the Publix Supermarket receives a $2000 commission.

According to the Florida lottery, the Gold Rush Limited scratch off tickets still has 12 outstanding top prizes of $5 million still yet to be claimed and 42 $1 million prizes are still up for grabs. So good luck everyone!
