Howard Frankland Bridge To Close Overnight (4/18)
The Howard Frankland Bridge construction continues to affect traffic. Tonight, April 18th, there will be another closure. Here’s what you need to know.
Drivers of Interstate 275 between Tampa and St. Petersburg will be affected by this closure.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) northbound traffic will be diverted off of I-275 at the Gandy Blvd. (Exit 28) beginning at 11 p.m. The lanes will be closed northbound until 5 a.m. Wednesday morning (April 19th). FDOT will use this closure to install overhead sign framework over the highway. This is part of the Howard Frankland Bridge Replacement Project.
Here is the suggested detour:
You can see from the tweet by FDOT that the Bayside Bridge to SR 60 in Clearwater and the Gandy Bridge are the best altertanatives.
