If you live on the West Coast in California, for example, you have to earn $300,000 annually to fall into the middle-class category.
Do you live in St. Pete and does your salary fall between $42,974 and $128,282? You are considered to be middle class. And in Tampa, you are "middle class" if your salary is between $42,481 and $126,808. That put St. Pete and Tampa at 53rd and 54th on the list, respectively.
