First Concert at New Coachman Park Will Be Free
The Sound – the new concert venue at Coachman Park in Clearwater is about to open next month. The first concert will be free. But there’s a catch. You can’t just show up. You do need to reserve your tickets.
Q105 favorites Cheap Trick will be the first act to play the venue on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 7pm. There’s a 4 ticket limit for the show. A few thing to note – the event is rain or shine. Also there will be a clear bag policy in place. Bags should not exceed 8″ x 6″ x 3″. Or you can bring small clutch bags (4.5″ x 6.5″ – roughly the size of an index card) that can fit in your pocket. Chairs are not permitted but you can bring a blanked up to 30″ x 60″.
Although the show to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers is free, you will need a ticket. Reserve yours by visiting Ruth Eckerd Hall’s website.
6PM Update: Advance reservations look to have disappeared, but the City of Clearwater says walk-up admission will be available on a first-come first-served basis the day of the event. But they don’t say how many will be allowed in that way. Often when an event is free, many who snatched up tickets don’t show up. So if you’d like to go, get to Coachman Park early for your best chance to get in.
