Janie Just Wants Someone To Play Fetch With
Meet Janie, she’s Roxanne’s Pet Project of the week. Janie is a 3 year-old Black Mouth Cur mix who weighs about 52 pounds. After being transferred from a low-resource shelter, she’s looking for my forever home here at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. When she arrived, they found she was heartworm positive. But don’t worry, the nice people at HSTB treated her. However she MUST return to the AHC for her scheduled follow-ups. Janie is great on a leash and with other people, but may take a while to warm up to other dogs. Learn more about Janie, here!
Janie may be a little more work than some other dogs here, but we know she is worth it!
Normally adoptions cost is $125. Janie will be available for adoption for the special price of $10.50 through end-of-day Friday (24-hours after the she is featured on the air.) Make sure to mention Q105 and Roxanne’s Pet Project is the reason you came to adopt your fur-baby!

One of the missions of the Humane Society of Tampa Bay is to end animal homelessness and we can’t wait to help in their mission.
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, provides shelter for homeless & at risk animals, adoptions, hospital and TNVR services for the general public; operates independently from the Humane Society of the United States. And we, along with our animals, would love to have you as a partner on this journey.
