Folks in Clearwater usually have to head to Tampa to see the big name acts in concert. Sure Ruth Eckerd Hall and the Capitol Theatre have hosted some big names over the years, but both of those venues have space limitations.

The Sound at Coachman Park

The new concert space at the renovated Coachman Park, The Sound, can fit 9,000. That has opened up possibilities for a much wider range of performers. It's that perfect midsized venue Tampa Bay hasn't had. The Sound at Coachman Park has more room than the theaters, but it's not as big as the Amp or Raymond James Stadium.

The grand opening for the new Coachman Park is coming up Wednesday (June 28) with a live performance by Cheap Trick. Later this summer you'll see everyone from the Goo Goo Dolls and Chicago to Ringo Starr and Kenny Loggins. Here's the final list of the 16 acts you'll see in Clearwater performing at The Sound during its opening season.

As workers put the finishing touches on the new concert venue at Coachman Park, the lineup for the first summer of concerts is really filling out. Check out this list of performers confirmed to play the new venue.
