Video: Tampa Police Investigate Valet Parking Car Thefts
You think using valet parking is safe for your car. Most of the time, of course, it is. However, there’s been a trend in thefts from valet parking, and detectives have leads. Tampa PD has released surveillance video from two locations.

Tampa police reported that surveillance cameras show suspects in valet parking car thefts. This has been seen at hotels and restaurants. They have been recorded taking keys and stealing vehicles from the parking lot. Cars stolen using this method include a Land Rover, Lamborghini and Mercedes-Benz.
Police have informed businesses of the trend. These local businesses have been encouraged to not leave the valet stands unattended. If you use valet services, check with ask if they use a secure area for keys, or if there is someone responsible for watching the keys.
Tampa Police Department detectives continue to investigate and ask that if you have any information on the valet parking car thefts to contact them at 813-231-6131 or to submit tips to Crime Stoppers at 800-873-TIPS (8477) or Tip 411.
