Shark Attack Near Bean Point Off Anna Maria Island

According to the West Manatee Fire Rescue District, a man who was in the water off Anna Maria Island on Sunday was attacked by a shark.

We don't know the name of the man who was attacked, but he is in his early twenties. His injury was to his lower leg.

He was near Bean Point. One of the victim's friends quickly applied a tourniquet to try to stop the bleeding. We have not received a report on the man's condition. This is a developing story.
