Love knows no age. Haven't you heard that expression. Age is, in fact, just a number. We do call segments all the time on the MJ Morning Show. And we'll have people call in and say, "My boyfriend is 17 years older than me." Or they'll say, "I'm dating someone who's 12 years younger than me."
I believe we live in a day and age where none of that matters. It comes down to whatever makes you happy. In matters of the heart, age is just a number, and nowhere is this more evident than in the thriving world of age gap relationships.
Well, guess what. If you want to show your love for your much older or much younger object of your desire, Tampa is the place to do so. A new survey revealed that Tampa ranks 5th most on the list where age gap relationships are most popular and/or most embraced and accepted.
Where else can you enjoy more of judgement-free age-dating-zone? Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, and Las Vegas.
So you have to ask why this might be the case. I think the people in Tampa are pretty chill and mind their own business. Also, you'll find an older crowd in Tampa so some of those older folks in the older crowd may want to date younger people. No matter the reasons, the age gap relationships work in Tampa and beyond.

Ten Amazing Date Nights In Tampa
Do you love date nights in Tampa? Did you make it out on Valentine's Day? A lot of people will say that if you go out to dinner in a restaurant on Valentine's Day, you are an amateur love bird.
Have a romantic dinner at home on V-Day and then head out the weekend after.
I came across this list from That's So Tampa. It's not often you read one of these lists and agree with EVERY restaurant/place mentioned on the list.
I'll run through the list with you and give you my personal take on each place.
1. Boulon Brasserie
This is actually one spot I have not yet dined at, but I've heard amazing things. It's a Water Street hotspot. It looks very elegant. When I stayed at the Tampa Edition, my room overlooked Boulon Brasserie.
2. Bern’s Steakhouse & Harry Waugh Dessert Room
If you call Tampa home, you know all about Bern's and what a romantic spot it is for a date night. This was always my go-to for special occasions, and it the night involves romance, the dessert room is a must.
3. Flor Fina
I'm so excited to see Hotel Haya's Flor Fina on this list. Anytime I'm in Ybor City, I have to go here, at least for a drink. The drink menu is fire. The vibe is exactly what you want for a night with just you and your love.
4. Meat Market

Meat Market in South Tampa
I'm a teeny bit biased when it comes to Meat Market, so I'll just say, "check it out for yourself." But who doesn't love a romantic night strolling around Hyde Park.
5. Mis En Place
I can't say enough about the atmospheric places that made this list. Mis En Place offers fine French cuisine. No question the food is incredible, but this is another spot that has a vibe I'm crazy about. By the way, I love their food so much...and I'll even dine at their restaurant in the airport. Their Brussel sprouts are my pre-flight meal. Amazing!
6. Olivia Restaurant
I haven't been, but it's "MJ-Approved." And I found the above food-porn photo of an apparent brunch item they have that I might be obsessed with. Every time I drive by, I'm like "I have to go there."
7. On Swann
I love On Swann. It can get a little loud in there but it's still a fun date night. The above post is me, Doug and my cousins (and my baby in my stomach).
8. Oxford Exchange
I love Oxford Exchange's champagne bar. The whole place has a big-city feel to it. I have not had a one-on-one date night there, but I do a lot of "Meet the Author" nights there. So fun!
9. Rocca
How much better can they decor here be? It's so pretty, I just want to do it on the table. Haha...just kidding (just seeing if you are reading to the end of this post). But seriously, I love places with food that is to-die-for. And the atmosphere makes me feel like I could be across the Atlantic in some beautiful Italian city.
10. Rusty Pelican
It's been a while since I've been here (my first wedding in the early 2000's), but if it's romantic enough to have your wedding reception there, what more do you want?
