Annie Lennox is reportedly done with touring, according to her Eurythmics partner Dave Stewart.

Stewart shared this news via social media with the announcement of his Eurythmics songbook tour. He wrote, “Looking forward to this, I love performing these songs. I spent 1,000’s of hours crafting them in the studio and had the best partner in Annie, but she has said she won’t be touring anymore which I totally understand.”

He continued, “But I love our songs, and I love playing live so I have selected brilliant all-female musicians and three wonderful female vocalists. I promise a stunning show full of memorable songs. More dates announced soon.”

Stewart’s tour only has one date currently confirmed in Switzerland on November 7. The listing for the show even states, “Dave’s Eurythmics Songbook concert in London in 2019 was a resounding success and now he’s taking it to the Baloise Session with Annie Lennox’s blessing, as she is no longer touring.”

Of course, Lennox has yet to personally comment about ending her touring career. Here’s hoping she’s done completely done with performing altogether. However, there certainly are ample examples of artists who have said they’re done with touring and weren’t. Keep scrolling for just nine examples in rock history.
