Tampa Aerosmith Concert Postponed Until 2024

Steven Tyler's doctors said no singing for 30 days last month. That meant no touring forcing the postponement of 6 Aerosmith shows around the country. The Tampa concert at Amalie Arena just barely didn't fall within that 30 day window. So no postponement was announced at that time for the sold out Amalie Arena concert scheduled for October 11.

On social media, Steven Tyler said he was "heartbroken" when he got the news. Tyler said his vocal cord damage was so bad there was bleeding. To put the positive spin, Steven said the delay would make it so that the band can give fans "the performance you deserve." 

This morning (September 29), the band announced the Tampa concert unfortunately IS going to have to be postponed because of Steven Tyler's injuries.

Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought. His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care. He is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential.

As a result, all the currently scheduled PEACE OUT shows must be postponed to sometime in 2024, with new dates to be announced as soon as we know more. “I am heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates, according to the band. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend once those dates are announced. Fans with questions regarding refunds should reach out to their point of purchase.

Yes and no. Officially, yes the concert is sold out. But with minimal effort, you can still find tickets both on the third party websites like Stub Hub and even on Ticketmaster, where they now allow ticket holders to resell their tickets. Most tickets are being sold over face value, but prices have dropped significantly over the past few months - even before the announcement of Steven Tyler's vocal cord injury.

Upper level seats in the 300s start at just over $200. Lower level seats are in the $300s. But if you wanna get in the pit, you're going to need to put your credit card limit to the test as those tickets are going for almost $3,000 each.
