Mikhail Sergachev, a star Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman, just made a big home purchase in Beach Park.
According to public records, on Thursday Sergachey bought a $9 million new construction home. It’s on the water and located on Sandpiper Road.
You can check out images on Zillow.
It’s listed by Coldwell Banker. And there’s plenty of space in this modern beauty. It’s 8,077-square-foot and has 5 bedrooms and 6 baths.
Some of the luxurious aspects include a dramatic floating staircase, a new dock, an elevator, and a climate-controlled wine cellar. Along with the typical living spaces, like living room and dining room, there is a movie theater, a gym, a waterfront Flex Room, a lounge, an entertaining bar, a rooftop deck, and a loft and climate-controlled wine cellar. The kitchen features a waterfall center island. And you step out back to a gorgeous waterfront pool, set off by the fire fountains and accompanied by a floating spa.
Sergachev is a Russian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Tampa Bay Lightning. He was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2016 NHL draft in the first round as the ninth overall pick. He joined the Lighting in 2017 and won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Lightning in 2020 and 2021.

Downtown Tampa is constantly changing. It seems like each week there’s a new trendy restaurant that we must try! Of course, there are the staple Tampa restaurants like Hattricks. There are also many options at Sparkman Wharf, but we narrowed that down to our favorite spot. If all else fails, you can always go to the Publix on Channelside Dr for a pub sub. This Publix location even has a bar and happy hour! Have you been to any of these places yet? Let us know your favorite on social media!
Honorary Mention
It would be silly for us not to include the new Yard House in this list. The new trendy restaurant recently opened directly across the street from Amalie Arena (where the old Ferg’s Live used to be). They have 130 beers on tap and some really tasty appetizers for a pregame snack. But beware, unless you make a reservation or get there before 4 pm, you likely won’t find a seat before your event. You should also know that they do not run their happy hour specials on event days. So no half-off apps and discounted beer on game/concert days.
