They call it “fun under the deep boo sea.” You don’t want to miss Guppyween at the Florida Aquarium this spooky season.
If you’re looking to enjoy some Halloween festivities, but without too many terrors, this is your event. Guppyween is taking place on October 28th and 29th from 9:30 A.M. until 5 P.M. If a child (who is accompanied by an adult) arrives in costume, they get in at no cost (as long as the adult is paying). What could be more fun for kids than being all dressed up and encountering creepy critters and mixing in a little trick or treating. Plus, there will be musical acts to enjoy. And you’ll see divers in the aquarium tanks, but they’ll be in costume. And have you ever heard of an underwater pumpkin carving? Well, if you need to see it to believe it (or rather sea it to believe), wait until you feast your eyes on the Florida Aquarium’s underwater pumpkin carving. It is quite the treat.
Florida Aquarium Guppyween Sensory-Friendly Event
I love that Florida Aquarium always seems to take guest with sensory differences into consideration. They will also be hosting a sensory-friendly version of this on Saturday, October 28th. This event will begin at 8 A.M. and conclude at 9:30 A.M.
The light and sound display will be altered to accommodate those with sensory differences. These guests will still get to enjoy all of the cool Florida Aquarium Guppyween animal encounters. Also, fan favorites, Rocky and Tango will be in the house! The price for tickets for this event are $10 for each guest. If you are a member, the event is free.
Every visit to the Florida Aquarium is a special one, especially for Guppyween!

Tampa Bay Home To Two Of The Best Aquariums
A survey of USA Today readers put together a list of the 10 best aquariums in the country. Tampa Bay is host to two of them. Where are they and what do they offer?
In one of USA Today‘s latest “10Best” lists, the publication wanted readers to make their choice (from a select list). Which is the best (or their favorite) aquarium in the United States.
There were two states that each boasted two spots on the list. One was Florida. The other Tennessee. The two Florida aquariums on the list are each located in the Tampa Bay area. Which two are they?
