Christmas is right around the corner and that means decorations are going up. Lights, holiday food, ornaments and most importantly a tree. But how do you decide what kind of tree you’re going to get? There’s so many options to choose from, but this is where to get Christmas trees in Tampa Bay.

Christmas trees come in all shapes and sizes and it’s important to decide what you can fit in your home. Yes, you can go to places like Target or Walmart to pick out an artificial tree, but we’re all about supporting local businesses.

Some of these places offer delivery to our home so you don't have to worry about fitting it in your car or SUV if you don’t have enough space. Today, we’re breaking down 4 different places where you can get Christmas trees in Tampa Bay.

Tampa Theatre Announces 2023 Holiday Classics Series

The Holiday Classics Series returns for the 2023 Christmas season to historic Tampa Theatre. Here's what they announced as the line-up.

The annual Holiday Classics series is upon us. It begins late in November, and there's no better place to enjoy these seasonal movie classics than Tampa Theatre. The experience of watching movies in this historic building is what makes these seasonal events a special highlight for the family and for the film buffs.

Having been around since 1926, it was the place to go in Tampa. It cost just a quarter to enjoy entertainment and air conditioning. In the 1950's, as television became more popular, many of America's theaters became used less and less. However, unlike some other theaters, the Tampa Theatre was saved from demolition. Tampa City Council purchased the building and reopened Tampa Theatre in 1977. In 1978, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The theatre is now one of the busiest, hosting over 600 events annually, according to TampaTheatre.org. Among these events are annual movie series, including the Summer Classics Movie Series, "A Nightmare on Franklin Street" Halloween series and the Family Favorites Classics Series.

Also, as they kick off the event in the first week, you'll be able to meet Santa Claus before the first film in the lobby. Photos will be free.

Now it's time for the 2023 Tampa Theatre Holiday Classics Series. Here's what they have ready for 2023, along with the trailers so you can refresh your memory. It'll also put you in that Christmas mood.

"Miracle on 34th Street" (1947): Sunday, November 26, 2023 - 3 pm

The movie series is called the Holiday Classics, and few truly define the word 'classic' as this film. "Miracle on 34th Street" features Edmund Gwenn as Kris Kringle, joined by Maureen O'Hara and Natalie Wood. This Santa Claus is taken to court in order to learn if he is, in fact, the real Santa.

"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" (1989): Sunday, December 3, 2023 - 3 pm

Bring in Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo and the rest of your favorite lampooned cast for the funniest, and often, favorite, Christmas movie. Bring your "Christmas bonus" and enjoy the movie!

"The Grinch" (2018) Sunday, December 10, 2023 - 3 pm

Here's an updated animated version of "Dr. Suess' The Grinch Who Stole Christmas." It again tells the story of what having the holiday spirit can do. Features the voices of Benedict Cumberbatch, Rashida Jones, Pharrell Williams, Kenan Thompson, and Angela Lansbury.

"It's A Wonderful Life" (1946) Daily, December 15-21, 2023

Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed, and Lionel Barrymore star in legendary director Frank Capra's super-classic "It's A Wonderful Life." You can see this film multiple times and learn something different each time. It's a love story, it's a drama, and it's a Christmas movie rolled into one.
