$1 Million-Dollar Lottery Ticket Sold In Tampa Publix

It's that time of year again where the New Year’s resolutions come out and everyone’s trying to let go of old habits and pick up new ones. A Publix down in Port Saint Lucie was another lucky spot. The Publix at 1537 NW Saint Lucie West Boulevard sold a $2 million ticket making Florida residents big winners. We're not fortune tellers, but could Publix be the best place to buy lottery tickets in Florida?

This jackpot prize is notching itself in history as the fifth largest Powerball price ever won. This is also the 10th largest jackpot in history. But, what does this $842.4 million payout as a cash value? The cash value for this winner is $425.2 million.

The winner has yet to come forward to claim their winnings. We assume that they’re getting their affairs in order before coming forward.
