The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in the playoffs, and to celebrate the Bucs are having a drive thru event this Friday. They have done these in the past to celebrate the team making it to the playoffs. The event will be happening this Friday, January 12 and it starts at 5:30 AM. The event will end around 10 AM or until the supplies run out. The Bucs will be giving out free swag and there will be live entertainment as well. There will be appearances from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleaders and the mascot, Captain Fear.

The event will be taking in the south parking lots of Raymond James Stadium. These are the parking lots that are south of the stadium and south of Tampa Bay Blvd. in between Himes and Dale Mabry. Additionally, in the past there were many people lined up very early even before 5:30 to take part in this event. So, if you travel this way normally be prepared that will be there will be extra traffic in and around the area starting very early this Friday morning.

Info About The Bucs Playoff Game

The Bucs have made the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season. They also have won the NFC South division for the third year in a row. Because they won their division they will host the first playoff game, which is on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles. This is a rematch of the week three game, which was also a Monday Night Football game. The Eagles won that game 25 to 11. I’m gonna give you a bit of good news, in the last six games of the season the Buccaneers are 5-1. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles are 1-5. Finally, this is also a playoff rematch from two seasons ago where the Bucs beat the Eagles 31-15.

These two teams have a lot of history against each other in the playoffs. They have played each other five times with the Bucs winning three of the games. The most famous game is the 2002 NFC Championship Game in Philly. The Bucs won 27-10 to go to their first Super Bowl. That is the game where Ronde Barber intercepted the ball and returned it for a touchdown late in the game to seal the win.

Bucs Regular Season Ends With Shutout Win Over the Panthers

The Bucs regular season came to an end Sunday with a 9-0 win over the Carolina Panthers. The win gave the Buccaneers the division title again and, most importantly, secured a playoff spot. Monday night (January 15), the Bucs will host the Philadelphia Eagles at Raymond James Stadium. This will be the fourth straight season the Bucs have moved on to the postseason. It's a special accomplishment, especially given how many figured the Bucs would be in a rebuilding year without Tom Brady at quarterback.

Both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Philadelphia Eagles are banged up so the extra day of rest could be helpful for both squads. Baker Mayfield had a noticeable limp in the Bucs win today. He only had 137 yards on the day. Fortunately the Bucs defense came up big. As for the Eagles, Jalen Hurts has been struggling too with his finger injury. Pro Football Talk reports that X-rays showed no fracture. We'll know more Thursday when the Eagles issue their injury report. As for now, Hurts is considered day-to-day.

Congratulations to the Bucs on their third straight NFC South title win. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished the season with a 9-8 record. But keep in mind there was that stretch when they lost 5 out of 6 games, making playoff possibilities seem pretty bleak. Check out these photos from field level from the game.
