Valentine's Day started off with a bang for one Florida couple. Two people drove off with a puppy after a 15-year-old teen girl in Winter Haven, Florida allowed them to hold it and police are on the lookout

According to the Winter Haven Police Department, a 15-year-old girl was walking her 8-week-old puppy on 6th Street Southeast in Winter Haven when two people approached her in a vehicle. Stranger Danger. The two suspects pulled up in a Ford Mustang Mach-E telling the girl how cute the puppy was and asking if they could hold it. The teen, walking alone, willingly gave the puppy to the driver in the car to hold. Moments later, the driver handed the puppy to the male passenger and the two people drove off with the Pomeranian Puppy.

According to Police, the woman driving the gray Mustang Mach-E was wearing a flower dress, had acne scarring on her face, and was said to be Hispanic. The passenger was described as an African American male and the two were headed towards Cypress Gardens Boulevard.

The puppy has a pink collar with a red bell attached to it. If you have any information regarding the two suspects who drove off with the puppy, you should call the Winter Haven Police at 863-401-2256.

How to Keep Yourself Safe:

The first rule of thumb is never to trust someone driving a Mustang Mach-E. That is not a real Mustang. All jokes aside, it looks more like a Kia Sorento, according to the photos, but it’s rarely a good sign when someone pulls up next to you while you’re alone. So, here are a few tips to keep yourself safer in potentially hazardous situations.

You do not owe strangers anything. If you feel something is off, get out of there and always be aware of your surroundings. When someone pulls up in a car, always make sure there’s at least an arm's length distance between you and the vehicle so you can make any necessary moves.

When you’re walking into a bathroom, room, or the street alone, be aware of those around you. If you are approached by a stranger who could pose a threat, don’t act afraid, but instead, display a sense of strength to show them you could be a threat.
