If you've been on the fence about getting tickets for the Orlando Def Leppard & Journey concert, this might help make your decision. Coming up on July 7, there's a BOGO deal for the Def Leppard, Journey and Cheap Trick concert coming up on July 10.

Here's the thing. I couldn't find this deal on the Ticketmaster website. I was emailed a link directly from Camping World Stadium. It wasn't because I'm from a radio station and it's some special thing for us media types. I'm guessing I got this email because I went to the Def Leppard show with Motley Crue and Poison a couple years ago at Camping World Stadium.

Def Leppard BOGO Deal Time Window

This BOGO on Def Leppard & Journey tickets deal will expire on July 8 at 10PM. So if you wait until the day of the show, you'll be out of luck. The deal is active now as of my checking this morning at 11AM on July 1.

How Much Are Tickets Now?

To get the deal go to the concert ticket purchase page at ticketmaster.com. When you get there, tap the UNLOCK button. There you enter the code ROCKNROLL. When I did, seats in the 200 upper level dropped to $17.50 each. Seats in the lower bowl level in Section 136 dropped to $65. I couldn't tell if the field level seats dropped as much. But there a lot of of those left too.

Why these might be the seats to consider besides the price...

Listen. We're not teenagers anymore. Neither are the guys in Journey or Def Leppard. Back in the day, you wanted to be in the pit with your friends right up close to the stage to be able to catch a guitar pick. We're older now. So are they. Being far back from the stage helps suspend reality a little bit easier. Do you really need to see the wrinkles? Being far back, you'll still hear the concert and see the whole production with the lasers, lights and pyro. And yes, plus it won't run your credit card bill up nearly as much.

Honestly... the people watching was just as much fun as what was going on on the stage!

When you're too indecisive to pick one band's shirt.

Jorts count was up to 20 before we even walked in.

Bad day?

As I said at the beginning, the people watching was just as entertaining as watching what was going on on the stage.

Not the start to the day we were hoping for. Fortunately it was a short-lived typical Florida storm.

Now it feels like 1989... until...

... you see the prices of 2022.

It wasn't just Poison.

Motley Crue wasn't offering any bargains either.

My high school pal Scott was a HUGE Poison fan. WWE fans may remember him as "Scotty Too Hotty."

The Westbrook High School reunion continued. This was my first time seeing Jen in 30 years. We grew up in Maine, but that's no excuse. We both live in Pinellas!

Captain Jack Sparrow or Keith Richards?

The younger generation in attendance gave it their best shot but they looked more like drag queens than 80s rock stars.

Joan Jett performed all her classics. Really wish I would've gone to her solo show now at the Hard Rock in Tampa this past spring.

Bret Michaels really seemed to be the one enjoying himself the most. Maybe it's forced or an act, but it's infectious.

Since nobody brings lighters anymore, the big screens had 'em.

Poison really had the best performance of the day. Big energy.

Selling CD's!? I asked if he had cassettes because I hadn't upgraded to compact disc yet.

Vince's vocals are notoriously lackluster. But when you're at a Crue show, the lights, lasers and rest of the band kind of distract from Vince's karaoke-level effort.

Def Leppard time!

The-Stadium-Tour-in-Orlando-043.jpg

Def Leppard's light show and video presentation were less wild than Crue's.

The-Stadium-Tour-in-Orlando-044.jpg

Joe's vocals were better than Vince's, but he didn't seem nearly as into performing as Bret Michaels did.

Animal!

The-Stadium-Tour-in-Orlando-046.jpg

Def Leppard was good, not great. Better than Crue but Poison really stole the show.
