Going to a concert in 2024 can really give your credit cards a workout. But there are a few Tampa area concerts that you can get in and pay the mortgage or rent this month. I did some digging and found a handful of Tampa area concerts coming up this summer where there are tickets still available for under $50.

If you want to see Aerosmith or Morgan Wallen in concert, save up. Those are two of the priciest shows right now. The Aerosmith concert at Amalie Arena was supposed to happen last year but Steven Tyler's vocal chord injuries forced a postponement to February 14 of 2025. The Morgan Wallen concert at Raymond James Stadium is another one with a ticket price that'll make your jaw drop. Both are well over $200... for the worst seats in the house.

There are a few Tampa area concerts with tickets under $50, like our annual Freestyle Explosion at Amalie Arena.Geno / Q105

TKA will get 'em dancing again at Amalie Arena August 10. They'll once again be a part of the lineup for Freestyle Explosion Throwback Jam at Amalie Arena. And yes, tickets start at under $50!

Tampa Area Concerts For Under $50 for Pop Music Fans

I'm a little biased here because I host the first show I'm going to mention. But hey, to get 9 concerts in one night for under $50? Freestyle Explosion Throwback Jam is the bargain of the year. Stevie B ("Spring Love," "Party Your Body," "Because I Love You") is your headliner again this year. Also returning for 2024 are Lisa Lisa, Expose, George LaMond, Sweet Sensation and some of the other classic acts that got you shakin' your butt in the clubs back in the day. The show is August 10 at Amalie Arena. Tickets start at $45. And for this show, there are no "nosebleed" seats. They close off the 300 level.

Janet Jackson was supposed to play Tampa a few years ago but unfortunately the pandemic scrapped that show. But the Together Again tour now does include a stop at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre July 11. I found seats under the pavilion in Section 12 for $41.75.

Another show that'll get you dancing will be November 6 at Amalie Arena when Cyndi Lauper visits Tampa. The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour tickets start at a crazy low $25.75!

Wanna Rock?

If you're more of a fan of loud guitars, you can't beat the lineup coming to Coachman Park December 14. Bret Michaels from Poison and Dee Snyder from Twisted Sister will headline a show with tickets starting at $35 for a spot on the lawn.

70s & 80s Music Fans

There are a few shows for fans of some of the classic hits of the 70s and 80s. The Doobie Brothers still sound great live in 2024. Their harmony has really held up well over the years. They play the Amp July 11 and I found some tickets in Section 11 for $48.65.

Chicago and Earth Wind & Fire will play the Amp August 16. Unfortunately the only tickets I was able to find under $50 for this one are out on the lawn though.

90s Music Fans

Train comes to the Amp August 20. And for 80s music fans, REO Speedwagon is along for the "Summer Road Trip 2024" tour. There are lawn tickets left for $48.65.

And finally just recently announced is a St. Pete visit from Blues Traveler. The "30 Years Of Four" tour stops at Jannus Live downtown St. Pete on November 17. Tickets for this one start at $35.50.

So those are the bargains. But here's a full list of upcoming Tampa area concerts for all price levels.

Some great shows coming up in the Tampa area and a few worth a road trip!

One last chance to see one of the most iconic Q105 favorites from the 80s. Cyndi Lauper has announced this is her farewell tour. See her at Amalie Arena. Tampa is one of only 23 cities getting a tour stop. The only other show in Florida will be in Hollywood, Florida. No Orlando or Jacksonville stops.

November 14: The Pointer Sisters and The Commodores

Lots of great Q105 hits like "I'm So Excited" and "Neutron Dance" from the Pointer Sisters and "Brickhouse" ia one of our most requested songs on Q105. See them both at "An Evening of Icons - An Unforgettable Evening of Classic Hits" at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa.

December 14: Bret Michaels

Catch the Poison lead singer for a performance at The Sound at Coachman Park. It's Bret's Parti-Gras 2.0 Tour with Night Ranger and Dee Snider from Twisted Sister.

It's a Q105 holiday tradition! It'll be one of the most amazing live performances you'll ever see. The Lost Christmas Eve Tour will stop at Amalie Arena in Tampa.
